Places have more
potential than
they know.

Townward is a place strategy and development company. We help communities and property owners understand what makes a place distinctive, strengthen its story and visitor economy, and build hospitality and real estate opportunities around the strongest ideas.

Helping places become more valuable by becoming more fully themselves.

Most towns are told to copy whatever destination is fashionable this decade. We think the opposite. Lasting value is already here—in the courthouse square, the river bend, and the buildings most people walk past. We help communities and property owners reveal and clarify that value, then build real opportunities around it.

A town, like a field, gives back in proportion to the attention it is paid.

Development

When the timing and partnership are right, we selectively sponsor compelling projects—one at a time, deal by deal, with lasting impact as the goal.

Who we work with

Chambers of commerce and tourism directors, mayors and county leaders, downtown development authorities, property owners with distinctive buildings or land, local business owners, architects, lenders, contractors, and operators.

The Opportunity
Hidden in Plain Sight

Every town has untapped value hiding in plain sight. We start by listening, walking, and studying—then build a clear picture of what's possible.

"
We learn which buildings are underused, where visitors stop short of a second night, and where a town lacks a true gathering place after six o'clock. The answers are often here already—we help put them to work.

A note from the founder

I started Townward in the parts of the country most people only drive through, the overlooked interior of valley towns and mountain counties the last few decades of attention skipped. My conviction is plain. These places do not need to become something else to matter. They need to become more fully what they already are, and they need someone willing to put real work and real money behind that belief. That is what we are building.
